Josh has served as a pastor since 2007 and joined the Emmanuel team in 2017. He worked as a paramedic for ten years before sensing God’s call to vocational ministry, and completed his Bachelor of Arts through Briercrest College and Seminary. Josh and his wife Kerri are high school sweethearts who have been married since 1999, and they have three children: Abby, Noah, and Libby. Josh is passionate about seeing the followers of Jesus grow in Christ-likeness, and in striving to fulfill the Great Commission as they live out the Great Commandment

Pastor Randy Roebuck

Randy and his wife Mary-Jane are blessed with four wonderful daughters and six grandchildren. Randy studied at Ryerson University in Business and later received a Master of Divinity at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. Their passion for seeing the lives of children transformed by the grace of God continues to be the driving force in their ministry. Randy truly believes that children are one of the most beautiful treasures made by the hand of God. Randy’s extensive and diverse experience in camp and church ministries has well equipped him for his role at Emmanuel.

Pastor Paul Turner

Paul became a member of the pastoral staff at Emmanuel in 2003. He and his wife Angela have three children. Paul has been actively involved in both music and Pastoral ministry for many years, receiving his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Theology and a Doctorate in Worship Theology. “My desire is to facilitate a worshipping community where people from all generations can respond to God’s goodness.”

Pastor Dave Chantler

Dave joined the staff in 2009 but is no stranger to the Emmanuel family. Dave met his wife Joanne at the Emmanuel Youth Group and served as youth leader for a number of years, completing an internship. Dave has career experience providing family therapy, skill training and counselling to youth and their families, and after serving as a Youth director in St Catherines, he returned to Emmanuel as Pastor of Junior High Ministry. Dave’s high energy and enthusiasm for life and living for God is contagious. He loves his family (2 wonderful kids), the outdoors and recreation.

Pastor Luke Crawford

Having grown up as a missionary kid in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Luke completed his undergraduate studies at Houghton College in NY state in 2014 before earning a Masters from Heritage Seminary in 2016. Originally joining the Emmanuel//Barrie leadership team in the summer of 2013 as a Pastoral Intern, Luke is now actively serving as the Pastor of Sr. High Youth Ministry. Luke loves building Christ centred relationships with teens as they learn to love and follow Jesus Christ. Luke loves chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, all sports, and his delightful wife, Emily.

Pastor Steve Winfield

Steve graduated from Tyndale Seminary in 2018 with a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counselling. He received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto (1980) and Bachelor of Education (1982) and taught high school music for thirty years prior to studying theology. Steve oversees the Seniors Ministry and Spiritual Care Ministry. Steve facilitates the Biblical Counselling ministry and completed his internship through Next Step Counselling under the supervision of Dr. Craig Brannan. Steve enjoys mountain bike racing, reading, and spending time with his wife Donna and their three adult sons and families.

Pastor Matt Maw

Matthew has served with Emmanuel since 2017, recently joining the Barrie South team in 2021. He grew up in Bradford, Ontario on something of a hobby farm. He currently is finishing up a Master of Theology, after finishing a BTh, at Heritage College & Seminary. Matt and his wife Mackenzie are excitedly anticipating the birth of a son. Matthew is passionate about helping identify and activate the gifts God has given His people, that together they may effectively make disciples for His glory.
