*All Zoom online studies will need internet access, and members will need to be willing to learn how to login to Zoom and Right Now Media (all are free). Zoom studies are particularly (but not exclusively) for those not currently in a small group bible study or community group.
Who: Anyone, in any season of life.
When: 4 weeks: Tuesdays, June 16 – July 7, 4:00-5:00 pm.
What: How can we be better neighbours in the midst of “social distancing?” Videos are short – 6-11 minutes – which we may watch together on Zoom. Discussion questions, found on RightNow Media, will provide opportunity for our discussion together. After watching a video together on Zoom, we will have a discussion and prayer time about the video content and navigate judiciously how we may engage our neighbours while maintaining a wise social distance.
What comes to mind when you think about your neighbors? Maybe you don’t know them very well or, if you’re honest, maybe you think the lady across the street is a bit weird. For many of us, it can be tempting to “keep our distance” even without social distancing. As followers of Jesus, we’ve been called to love both God and our neighbors. Even in times like these, we can build deep connections with the people in our neighborhood and, most importantly, please God who has called us to love our neighbours. What would our communities look like if we took Jesus’s command to love our neighbors as ourselves seriously?
