Joy Fellowship Kitchen Co-ordinator
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 3-6 hours per month, which includes the event on the third Thursday of every month. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: As a Kitchen Co-Ordinator, you would be leading and organizing wonderful volunteers, as together you will bless the seniors after their program with a hot lunch.
Barrie Food Bank Volunteer
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: A one-time 3 hour event. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Following the Thanksgiving Weekend, when an abundance of food is donated to the Barrie Food Bank, multiple teams of volunteers from Emmanuel Barrie spend 3 hours on a Saturday in October helping to sort and organize the food for Food Bank clients.
Bloom Leadership Team
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 2 hours a week on Thursdays (September to May) 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:The Bloom ministry exists to encourage and inspire moms with young children. Bloom leaders prayerfully plan and implement the outreach ministry of Bloom.
Life Group Leader
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 1 ½ - 2 hours weekly / bi-weekly, for at least one year. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: As a Life Group facilitator, you will have the privilege of investing in 8-12 others as you study God’s Word together, mentor, disciple and encourage them on to Christian maturity through your Life Group community.
Life group Co-Leader
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 1 ½ - 2 hours weekly / bi-weekly, for at least one year. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: As a Life Group Co-leader(s), you will assist leading a Life Group alongside a Life Group leader(s), either as an individual, or as a couple depending on your group. You will have the privilege of investing in 8-12 others as you study God’s Word together, mentor, disciple and encourage them on to Christian maturity.
AWANA Large Group Leader
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 3 hours on Wednesday evenings (October to May) and additional prep-work time during the week. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: This role places you in a fun position to help teach what the Bible has to say in a interactive and engaging way to our AWANA clubbers. You will lead two different 25-minute large group times for clubbers Grades SK - Grade 2 and Grade 3-5.
Worship Team
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Rotating schedule of practice on Thursday evening and Sunday morning services (~6 hours). 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Our worship teams consist of rhythm section players (piano, keyboard, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and drums) vocalists, and also occasional solo instruments such as violin or sax. We invite you to consider how your musical gifts and skills can be used to glorify God and bless others in our church family.
Worship Team Choir
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Once a month practice, plus 5 hours on a Sunday morning. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: As part of this group you will not present a performance piece, rather you will sing alongside of the worship team, adding excitement to the sound and ministry of the morning.
Camera Operator
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Once monthly for 1-2 hours. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: This is an opportunity to be a part of the team serving in the online ministry to our people and to those who view us from outside our doors! As the Camera Operator, you will be the one sitting behind the sound booth, operating the one camera we use to focus on those on stage.
Projection
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: once monthly for 5 hours. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Serving in this role you operate all slides that are projected on the screen as well as on the live stream broadcast in the Worship Centre on Sunday mornings. This role serves God's people in a very tangible way as they worship God and learn from his word on Sunday mornings.
Lighting Team
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 5 hours on a rotating Sunday morning schedule. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: We are looking for creative people with a heart for God and a commitment to this ministry. As Genesis 1:3 reads "Let there be light!"
Live Stream Video Switcher
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 1.5 hours on Sunday mornings based on a rotating schedule. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: In this role you will be the person in charge of our live stream service on Sundays! You'll be essential in ministering to the large community of people that attend each week online, as well as helping us put our best foot forward for those who may be checking out what things look like at Emmanuel on Sunday mornings.
Children’s Welcome
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 30-40 minutes on a rotating Sunday morning schedule. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: If you are someone who loves high-fives, big smiles and getting to know children and their parents, this is a role for you! The children's wing welcome desk is the a place where every child and parent feels welcomed, noticed and cared for on Sunday mornings. You will help them sign in, register and learn about the ministry if they are new.
Nursery & Preschool Team
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 1.5 hours on a rotating Sunday morning schedule. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: We want children to love coming to church and it begins in nursery and pre-school. If you love children ages 0 to 3 and can play and colour and serve snacks this is for you! We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus by loving these kids and serving the parents in such a tangible way.
Children’s Special Needs Buddy
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 1-2 hours on a rotating Sunday morning schedule. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: In this role, you will partner with a child in the Children's Ministry who has behavioural/developmental needs and would benefit from some extra support. By having a buddy we hope to help each child feel safe, loved and included.
Sprouts (Bloom) Childcare
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 2 hours on Thursdays, twice a month (September to May). 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Sprouts is the program for children that runs parallel to our Bloom Outreach ministry. At Sprouts, the children of the Bloom moms are cared for in a vibrant, loving environment. Children from 6 months to 4 years old are divided by age and developmental stage, and we share the love of Christ with them!
Bible Study Childcare
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 2 hours on Tuesday mornings for the duration of the Women's Fall and Spring Bible studies. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Tuesday morning childcare at Emmanuel is a blessing to the mom's who attend the morning Bible study in the Fall and Spring. In this role you will be enabling moms to spend time in the word and give them a safe place to let their children play.
AWANA Listeners
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 3 hours on Wednesdays evenings (October to May). 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: AWANA is a mid-week kids ministry program that is filled with fun, friends and time spent in the Bible. As a listener you will most often find yourself sitting with one clubber as they recite their memory verses as they do so you will guide them in understanding what the verses mean.
Collide (Summer) Youth Leader
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 2-3 hours on Tuesday evenings for 6 weeks of the summer. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Collide is our summer programming for our youth grades 6 - 12. By serving in this role you help our youth team build healthy relationships and share Christ's love with the youth who connect with us throughout the summer.
AWANA Small Group Leader
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 3 hours on Wednesday evenings (October to May). 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: As an AWANA small group leaders you would have a front row seat as these children grow in their faith and friendships throughout the year. You will have a small group of clubbers that you will grow alongside, guide, play and have fun with during the weekly program.
