This is the large midweek gathering of Emmanuel men, young men and older men. All men gather to study the Bible. This winter semester we will be studying 1 and 2 Peter using the Dr. David Jeremiah study guide.
Men gather for large group opening at 7pm and then break off into smaller groups of 12-14 men. Each group has an experienced leader and assistant leader. The study ends at 8:15pm.
“Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defence to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you”
(1 Peter 3:15-16).
The disciple Peter, who penned these words, had witnessed the words, works, and wonders of the man he called the Messiah. He had seen not only the anguish that others had inflicted on Christ but also the suffering that his own denials had caused his Saviour and friend. But Peter had also witnessed the resurrection of Jesus and that had changed everything.
