WHEN WE MEET

WHEN WE MEET

Sundays

On Sundays, Jr. High students meet during the 11am service (September through May) for their own worship service in the Youth Room (near the Chapel). You can expect a Bible-based curriculum and age-specific teaching by Pastor Dave and our youth interns. Jr. High students are encouraged to join the main worship service on the 1st Sunday of each month.

Tuesday Nights

Jr. High students (Grades 6-8) will be meeting weekly on Tuesday evenings (beginning mid-September until the end of May) from 6:45-8:15 pm at Emmanuel Barrie. During the night, Jr. High students will enjoy hang-out time, games, a weekly Bible lesson and small group time. To get weekly updates, register for Jr. High HERE.

Summer Camp

Each summer we run an incredible, exciting, and fun 4-day camp tailored to Jr. High students. “Extreme Camp” exists to challenge Jr. High students to push themselves physically, as well as grow their faith to a new level. Extreme Camp takes place during the first week of August. Watch for registration details in early spring!

Why do you ask students to register for youth?2023-08-31T14:36:42-04:00

We ask all regular attenders to fill out a registration form once each ministry year. This allows us to collect any necessary medical and contact information so we can keep you in the loop of regular events and announcements and in the event of an emergency.

What does a typical Jr. High night look like?2022-09-08T13:24:35-04:00

Students arrive and sign-in at the welcome desk. They are then free to hang-out for a bit while they wait for their program to begin. They are free to enjoy the open gym, gaga ball, foosball, air hockey and the café during this time. The program begins with a large group game. We then move into a time of worship and teaching, followed by small group time. Small groups are separated by grade and gender and led by volunteer leaders. Students are dismissed following their small group time
