AWANA Director (Sparks or T&T)

AWANA is a mid-week kids ministry program that is filled with fun, friends and time spent in the Bible. As our AWANA program grows, so does our need for organization, leadership, and supervision. As an AWANA Area Director you will be in a place where you can get to know the children and other volunteers in either Sparks (SK – Grade 2) or T&T (Grades 3-5). As a club director you will help the volunteers feel supported, the children feel welcomed and that everyone remains connected and up to date. As you spend your evenings with your club you will regularly communicate with the Club Director and together make sure that each evening runs smoothly.

Please know that there is no requirement for previous experience with AWANA programs, a willing heart is all you need!

This serving opportunity is a big commitment, but it is one that will have an eternal impact on the children here at Emmanuel and on those from the community who attend our club. We hope that you will consider joining us as we love, serve and disciples these children!

In this role your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
+ Attend the weekly Wednesday evening program
+ Work alongside the Club Director to ensure all volunteers are on the same page for discipling our clubbers and encouraging each other in their roles
+ Share important information with your leaders, clubbers and the Director each week
+ Oversee the evening events each week.
+ Meet with the Club Director to plan and execute the year
+ Disciple clubbers and build relationships with them
+ Pray regularly for the team, students, and families.

Commitment: 3 hours every Wednesday throughout the school year and up to 3 extra hours of prep-work a week (September – May).

Requirements: Safe Church Training is required and you need to be attending Emmanuel regularly for a minimum of 6 months.
