AWANA Small Group Leadear

AWANA is a mid-week kids ministry program that is filled with fun, friends and time spent in the Bible. As an AWANA small group leaders you would have a front row seat as these children grow in their faith and friendships throughout the year. Small group leaders are connected wtih a set small group of clubbers for the duration of the school year. During weekly meetings small group leaders will guide their clubbers through their handbooks which include Bible work and memory work. They also spend the evening hanging out with their small group and connect with the children as their clubbers transition from other areas like large group and games.

Please know that there is no requirement for previous experience with AWANA programs, a willing heart is all you need!

This serving opportunity is a big commitment, but it is one that will have an eternal impact on the children here at Emmanuel and on those from the community who attend our club. We hope that you will consider joining us as we love, serve and disciples these children!

In this role your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
+ Attend the weekly Wednesday evening program
+ Use your leader handbook to prepare you and help you guide your clubbers through their handbooks
+ Participate in the programming: Large group time and Game time
+ Disciple clubbers and build relationships with them
+ Pray regularly for the team, students, and families.

Commitment: 3 hours every Wednesday throughout the school year (October – May).

Requirements: Safe Church Training is required and you need to be attending Emmanuel regularly for a minimum of 6 months.
