Come join the fun on Sunday mornings in the Woods (our children’s wing)! You will have the opportunity to introduce Jesus to children from JK to Grade 5. Our large group teachers lay the foundation blocks of faith in the lives of these children in partnership with our small group leaders. We use an excellent curriculum guide called the Gospel Project which takes us through the Bible in 3 years and points us to Jesus in every lesson.

In this role your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
+ Lead the large group component of the morning routine using the curriculum guide.
+ Prepare your lesson the week before you lead.
+ Answer questions that the children may have and be willing to look into the answers for them.
+ Serve alongside the other volunteers to encourage, disciple and love the children who attend on Sunday mornings

Commitment: 1.25 hours each week you lead plus preparation on a rotating schedule.

Requirements: Our Large group teachers should be comfortable teaching 30 or more children over a wide age range. Comfort leading the children in singing is an asset. Safe Church Training must be completed before beginning this role and you need to be an attendee of Emmanuel Barrie for a minimum of 6 months.
