Operation Christmas Child is an opportunity for the church to fill shoe boxes with gifts (school supplies, toys, hygiene products) for children across the world. These shoe boxes are delivered with an opportunity for each child to hear the Gospel and participate in a short program where they can learn more about Jesus and the Gospel. At Emmanuel, we love participating in this program and we also open our doors as a drop-off location for others in our community to bring their boxes.

As part of the Operation Christmas Child Team you will be part the large initiative to share the Gospel with children, and their families, around the world! There are many different roles that you can take part while being on this team. Below is a list of different tasks that this team engages in during our collection season.

+ Be present at the collection tables to collect boxes and answer any questions
+ Assemble kits for families to take home (box, elastic, pamphlet
+ Organize the boxes that are received
+ Fill boxes with the loose items that are donated
+ Load the truck up on transport night
+ Pray for the children who will be receiving the boxes.

Commitment: Various commitment levels depending on role and availability.
