Youth Night Café Volunteer
Serving in this role you be serving students, parents and leaders as they wait for the youth programming to start or to end. You will have the opportunity to tangibly love these individuals by providing them with food to purchase as they wait and socialize. In addition, you will be able to build relationships with the youth and those who love them. Your connection to some of these parents may be the only connection they have with a church. By being this person you have the unique opportunity to shine Jesus’ love on all those who spend time in the Café on youth nights.

In this role your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
+ Arrive before programming begins to prepare snacks/food for the students and leaders to purchase
+ Hang out in the Café throughout the youth night to make the Café a welcoming place for the students and parents
+ Build relationships with students, parents and leaders
+ Collect cash payments and make change as needed
+ Wipe down counters and tables to keep Kitchen and Café tidy and clean
The ability to operate kitchen appliances safely (dishwasher, oven, toaster etc.) is an asset. Training will be provided if needed. The ability to do quick math in order to calculate change is also an asset.
Commitment:3-4 hours on a rotating schedule for Tuesday evenings throughout the school year (September – August).
Requirements: Safe Church Training, an attendee of Emmanuel Barrie for a minimum of 6 months.
